Commercial/Civil Litigation

On offer is the opportunity to join a friendly firm, who can offer the chance of continuous development, a very competitive salary, with a Training contract opportunity for the right candidate.

We are a busy, fast growing law firm based in Hazel Grove, Stockport who are looking to recruit a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to the expanding Commercial/Civil Litigation Team.

Key Duties

  • Working directly with the lead solicitor providing support on a wide variety of matters.
  • Administrative duties to include but not limited to opening/closing files, handling medical records, preparing bundles, making copies, scanning documents, answering/making phone calls.
  • Maintaining a diary system for key court dates and other deadlines.
  • Using standard templates and drafting basic documents.
  • Attending meetings and taking notes.
  • Building relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Undertaking ad hoc work or additional duties as required.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
  • Highly organised and detail focused.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads whilst coping with changing demands.
  • Able to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using the Proclaim case management system desirable but not essential
  • Competency in MS Office systems.

Full time, Permanent.  Salary circa £18,000 – £20,000 (DOE)
